It
takes a strong woman to Co-host the hottest show in the
country and Mo Brown has what it takes. Mo Brown Suga
is of Jamaican descent and was raised in Brooklyn, NY. This
young and talented starlet started performing in elementary
school where she found her niche in dancing, singing, and
acting. After attending Professional Performing Arts High
school (PPAS) where she studied dance at the Alvin Ailey Dance
Theater, she began acting in Off-Broadway plays such as ‘The
Respect Project’ Directed by George Faison, ‘DADDY’ at the
HERE theater in Soho, NY, and The Classical Theatre of
Harlem’s productions of ‘Medea’ and ‘Macbeth’. Most recently,
Mo Brown has earned rave reviews from The New York Times, NY1,
Black Star News, Show Business Weekly, and an interview with
Metro newspaper for her performance in the role of Lily in The
Classical Theatre Of Harlem's critically acclaimed production
of Melvin Van Peebles' ‘Ain’t Supposed to Die a Natural Death’
(Directed by Alfred Preisser) on 52nd and Broadway.
Mo Brown attended Long Island University and studied Theatre
Arts, Speech Communications, and Radio Broadcasting. There she
performed in the Theatre Dept., and had her own radio show as
an On-Air Host (Mo Brown Suga) on BCAT television (88.1 fm) in
Brooklyn, NY. While having her own show called, ‘The Diva
Brown Show’, she interned at WQHT HOT 97 and learned the perks
of the entertainment industry. She has graduated with her
Bachelors Degree in Speech Communications and Theatre Arts.
She has blossomed into her career as a Performing Artist as
well as Co-Host of the Nationally Syndicated College Radio
show Live From Da Yard. She is also featured in the reggae
artist Tami Chynn’s video (Tell mi Seh) directed by Tim
Naylor, and in Box Fresh pictures NIKE commercial.
