Born and bred in Bronx, NY, the birthplace of hip-hop, DJ Spynfo has today become one of New York’s most anticipated disc jockeys. He began his thriving career in 2000, catering to the college community, primarily the diverse population of St. Johns University (SJU). Throughout his college career, Spynfo mastered and expanded his skills at most of SJU’s most popular events including parties, fashion shows, and concerts. Having been extremely successful and popular in college, Spynfo was able to market himself to many of the countrys most respected universities such as Yale, Rutgers, Princeton, Pace, Alabama State and Hofstra University. It is not a surprise that among the most popular universities he is known as “The College Club King”!
Still he was not satisfied. DJ Spynfo decided early on that if he wanted to make a name for himself, he first had to overcome the club scene of a great city: NYC. His first encounter with the club scene began in 2001 at a small Queens venue called Georgetown a.k.a “The Sweat Box”. Legally it could hold 175 attendees but Spynfo managed to pack over 400 people in there every Thursday night! It was because of this, he was able to move his parties to the more envied Friday night spot. Eventually, he was able to move his parties within New York City while simultaneously retaining a hype, consistent crowd and maintaining a strong following, two things that are not easy to do in such a distracting and eventful city. Through his work ethic, drive, and consistent support from Empire Entity, “one of the largest event planning companies in NY”, DJ Spynfo has now established himself with a variety of club patrons and has become one of the highly favorable MC/DJ’s in the New York area. This is not only because of his expertise but because of his extended selection of music and his capacity to please all crowds.
Recently, DJ Spynfo has been featured on B E T’s Rap City, a show that features only the best disc jockey’s across the nation. Today, Spynfo is a regular DJ/MC Personality on the first nationally syndicated college radio show, Live From The Yard, which is currently based out of Long Island University’s Brooklyn campus and airs on many campuses across the nation such as Hampton University, Syracuse, Princeton, and SUNY Albany.
DJ Spynfo is definitely living up to the title “Your New Favorite DJ”. As of today he has performed and hosted everything from Spring Break in Cancun to corporate and celebrity parties to various Greek letter organization events, as well as concerts that have featured artists like Missy Elliot, Beenie Man, Ludacris, Neyo, Doug E. Fresh, Flava Flav, and the Dipset Crew. Spynfo has also been featured alongside numerous on-air personalities such as Funk Master Flex, DJ Envy, Ed Lover, Cipha Sounds, Red Alert, and many more.
With only 6 years of experience under his belt, DJ Spynfo has shown that his commitment to his fans and patrons is incomparable to other DJ’s.
